T-Mobile & Verizon release schedule of Android Marshmallow for Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and Note 5; What about AT&T and Sprint?

T-Mobile has released the Android Marshmallow update for Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Network carrier Verizon has rolled out the update for Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 and S6 Edge+ users.

T-Mobile is rolling out the Android Marshmallow update for all the Samsung Galaxy S6 devices, which have the model number as G920TUVU3EPD1, according to T-Mobile. It is also rolling out the update for Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge users, who have the model number as G925TUVU3EPD1.

Marshmallow update for Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge+ users, in a phased manner, according to Verizon Wireless. The update also comes with the latest Edge panel, which was recently introduced with Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

Other network carriers such as US Cellular, Sprint and AT&T are also expected to rollout the update soon for Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and Note 5. It is expected to happen by the end of the month or by mid-May.

Verizon has also rolled out the update for Samsung Galaxy Note 5. T-Mobile is also expected to roll it out soon, as the update is in the testing phase. The release schedule of other network carriers such as AT&T, US Cellular and Sprint is not known, as yet.

The Android Marshmallow update is more than 1 GB in size, so users are requested to connect their device to a stable Wi-Fi, before attempting to download it. The device also ought to have more than 50 percent battery levels, while downloading.

Meanwhile, Sony has also released the Android Marshmallow update for Xperia Z series. However, Sony Xperia Z5 experienced a number of issues, after the device was updated to Android Marshmallow 6.0. Sony was quick to release a patch to fix this issue, and now Xperia Z5 is running fine, without any glitches.

Android Marshmallow comes packed with exciting new features, such as revised app permissions and support for fingerprint scanner. The software also ensures that the device consumes less power and runs in an efficient manner.
