Why Adobe Believes It Has A Promising Mobile Apps Strategy For The Future

How does the future of creative mobile apps look like? Mobile usage surpassed desktop in 2014, so it’s a big question to answer.

To answer that question, I sat down to talk with Bryan O’Neil Hughes, Adobe’s Head of Outreach & Collaboration of the Creative Cloud (commonly referred as CC) ecosystem, about the exciting and promising future of mobile apps for creatives.

Bryan has been working with Adobe for over 15 years. Coming from the photography and retouching background, he’s always been a user and a fierce user advocate. He’s very passionate about Adobe’s mobile apps and has been the product manager for the Photoshop Mix and Fix.

Reboot in 2014

In 2012, Adobe acquired Behance, a leading online social media platform that enables creatives to showcase and share their work.

In Bryan’s own words, with Behance, came a gentleman called Scott Belsky, who is now Adobe’s VP of Products (overseeing Community & Mobile). He had a whole team of folks who had a lot of experience and we decided to do a reboot across the whole portfolio of mobile apps, recalls Bryan.
