Amazon India is offering a discount on the 32GB variant of the Apple iPhone 6. The device is currently listed with a nine percent discount on the e-commerce website. The price of the 32GB Space Gray variant of the iPhone 6 has been slashed by Rs 2,800 from the original price of Rs 29,500. The device is available for Rs 26,700. Interestingly, the 16GB iPhone 6 variant is priced much higher at Rs 31,799 on Amazon India as the smartphone has now been officially discontinued by Apple, with no support offered.
The discount is offered only on the Space Gray variant and no other colors. While others sites too have listed the product, the discount is the heaviest on Amazon India. Apart from offering a flat discount, Amazon India also has an offer on exchange offer on the smartphone with up to Rs 22,055 off on the device, bringing down the price to just Rs 4,645. However, the maximum exchange is valid for the Samsung Galaxy S8+ smartphone. For other devices, the discount begins from Rs 500, depending on the smartphone. For interested buyers, there is no COD option available with the smartphone. Also, the order quantity is limited to 1 unit per buyer and there are no delivery charges on the smartphone. Infibeam is also offering the Apple iPhone 6 at a similar price of Rs 26,799 but only on debit card purchases. For those purchasing through net banking, the price of the device is Rs 26,935. Flipkart too is offering the iPhone 6 at a discount through multiple sellers, with the cheapest being at Rs 27,395 with an additional 5 percent discount on Axis Bank Buzz credit and debit cards. However, the sale is not Flipkart Assured. There are also other sellers offering similar discounts on the site. Although the iPhone 6 has been officially discontinued by Apple, it continues to be available with e-commerce stores and physical retail outlets while stocks last. Apple announced the iPhone 6 back in September 2014 and the smartphone was taken off the Apple website last year, with the launch of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. iPhone SE is officially the cheapest Apple smartphone available in India. On the specifications front, iPhone 6 comes with a 4.7-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels. The smartphone is powered by iOS 8 out-of-the-box which can now be upgraded to iOS 10. Apple announced the iPhone 6 in multiple storage variants of which 32GB and 64GB are currently available in India.
On the rear of the iPhone 6 is an 8-megapixel camera, and the front home button comes with the fingerprint sensor. Apple first introduced the fingerprint sensor with the iPhone 5s and the feature has been an integral part of Apple since then. The smartphone maker is expected to make the shift from the physical home button embedded scanner to an in-display scanner with the iPhone 8 expected to be announced this September.
