It’s a tool intentionally designed for dependability, longevity, constructed from premium materials, and that provides quality while fitting comfortably in your pocket. Since the official announcement of its eventual launch in February at Mobile World Congress 2014, many people have anticipated the BlackBerry Classic, and now that it’s arrived, it’s time to examine whether it lives up to all those expectations.
Before I begin my review of the BlackBerry Classic, I’d like to mention something I (and likely many others) have observed about the device: current BlackBerry 10 users seem quite divided regarding it. Following the initial announcement at Mobile World Congress, there has been extensive discussion regarding the potential release of the BlackBerry Classic. Some view it as a regression, believing BlackBerry should be progressing forward rather than reflecting on the past, while others perceive it as an opportunity to attract a significant number of users still utilizing older BlackBerry OS models like Bolds and Curves.
However, the reality is that many of those participating in the discussion about the merits of the BlackBerry Classic for the brand are current BlackBerry 10 smartphone users who have seamlessly embraced BlackBerry 10.
