Taipei, Sept. 6 (CNA) HTC Corp’s (宏達電) revenue for August hit the lowest monthly level in about 13 years, according to a monthly earnings report released by the Taiwanese electronics company Wednesday.
HTC posted consolidated revenue of NT$3 billion last month, marking a month-on-month decrease of 51.6 percent and a year-on-year fall of 54.4 percent, the report showed.
This is the lowest revenue figure posted by the company since September 2004 and is being attributed to the slowdown in sales of its flagship handset the U11, it said.
HTC, however, said that a single month’s figures do not represent quarterly trends in sales.
The company’s consolidated revenue totaled NT$39.86 billion in the first eight months of the year.
