Launch Smartphone with Android Motorola has unveiled its latest affordable smartphone, the Moto G05, in India. The Moto G04, which can be had for a low price of $121 on Amazon, is being replaced by a device with significant improvements. The Moto G05 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme chipset, which Motorola paired with 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, 64 GB of onboard storage, and microSD card support for storage expansion up to 1 TB. The Moto G05 has a 50 MP primary camera on the back, complemented by an ambient light sensor. This is a significant improvement over the 16 MP primary camera on the Moto G04. On the front, it features an 8 MP shooter for selfies and video chats. Further, the handset boasts a 6.67-inch LCD display that outputs at 1612 x 720 pixels with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a peak brightness of 1000 nits.
The Moto G05 has a battery of 5,200 mAh, up from 5,000 mAh, and it supports 18 W wired charging. However, Motorola offers only a 10 W charger in the box, which means you have to purchase the fast charger separately. It does have an IP52 water and dust resistance rating. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and support for Hi-Res audio are additional features. Available in Plum Red and Forest Green color options, the Moto G05 is priced at INR 6,999 (~$82/€78) for a single 4 GB + 64 GB model. The smartphone will be available via Motorola’s official website, Flipkart, and other authorized retail stores starting January 13.
