After tie-ups with Itel, Samsung, Celkon, and Intex, Airtel on Monday collaborated with Nokia licensee brand HMD Global to offer cashback on the Nokia 2 and Nokia 3 under Airtel’s ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’ offer. The partnership brings down the “effective price” of the Nokia 2 to Rs. 4,999 and the Nokia 3 to Rs. 7,499. Airtel is also bundling its Rs. 169 pack with the offer.
As part of the Airtel-HMD Global offer, customers will be entitled to a total cashback of Rs. 2,000 on purchase of a Nokia 2 or Nokia 3 smartphone. It will be offered to the user in two installments; the first Rs. 500 will be given within 18 months, while the rest Rs. 1,500 will be issued after a total period of 36 months.
Customers will have to recharge their SIM cards with a minimum amount of Rs. 3,500 for the first 18 months, and another Rs. 3,500 for the period of 19-36 months from purchase to be eligible for the offer. Airtel recommends its Rs. 169 prepaid pack, which offers 1GB data per day, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMSes per day with a validity of 28 days (14 days for non-Airtel offer bundled smartphones).
The Nokia 2 is currently available in India at an MRP of Rs. 6,999, while the Nokia 3 has a MRP of Rs. 9,499.

Interestingly enough, the Nokia 2 and Nokia 3 are also available as part of the Jio Football offer which provides cashback of up to Rs. 2,200 spread across 44 discount vouchers of Rs. 50 each.
