Samsung Galaxy J3 launched with quad-core CPU, 720p screen

The Galaxy J3 smartphone from Samsung, which received TENAA and 3C certifications earlier this month, has now been listed on the company’s China website, although with a slightly different name – Galaxy J3⑥.

It’s worth mentioning that the listed model is a China Telecom variant, but a quick comparison reveals that its design and specifications are largely similar to that of the J3 model (SM-J3109) cleared by the FCC.

The device is powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU, and sports a 5-inch 720p Super AMOLED display. It comes with 1.5GB RAM and 8GB expandable internal memory, and packs in a 2600mAh battery. In terms of camera, the handset features an 8MP rear unit and a 5MP front shooter. It weighs 138g and measures 142.3 x 71x 7.9mm.

While the official listing doesn’t include any information on which Android version the smartphone runs, the model certified by TENAA was running Android 5.1.1 out-of-the-box. On the software side, the device comes with Milk Music app, and a Smart Manager tool that provides features including virus scanning and battery monitoring.

There is currently no information on the price tag the handset carries in the country, and if and when it will be available in other markets worldwide.
