Currently, the company is accepting registration to roll out the Android Marshmallow beta program. The users need to register for the Beta Zone program to test the latest Marshmallow on their devices. According to the company, the beta update also comes included with monthly security updates.
- Motorola Moto X3 is spotted on Zauba listing hinting the device to launch soon. It comes with a 5-inch display and supports only single SIM variant. Lenovo had earlier mentioned that the Moto line up of devices will be added under the Lenovo brand same as the Vibe series. Even earlier to this, we heard about the Moto G (2016) and Moto X (2016), which will be the successors for last year Moto devices.
- While the LG G5 is made available in the international markets, the company hasn’t mentioned any details regarding the availability of the device in India. The company has scheduled an event on April 14th in India, where it will announce the K-series device. The LG K7 and K10 that supports 4G LTE are expected to be made available here in India. While there is no other information mentioned, we expect them to be priced around Rs. 15,000 price range.
- Last month Google released the Android N Developer Preview for the Nexus lineup of devices. Now latest information suggests the company to bring the developer preview for third-party OEM partners. Though we are not expecting all the devices to receive the preview update, at least few popular device might get the update. As of now there is no confirmation from the company about the exact availability of the Android N Developer Preview for non-Nexus devices.
Asus ZenFone Go 5.0 LTE (T500)
Last year Asus launched an entry-level device calledZenfone Go priced at Rs. 7,999. While the device included some decent hardware, it lacked the 4G LTE connectivity. Now the company launched the Zenfone Go 5.0 LTE, which it even better than its predecessor and is priced at Rs. 7,999. As of now, the device is only available through Amazon and Snapdeal. It is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor instead of the MediaTek MT6580 processor.
Interestingly, the device still runs on the years old Android 4.4 Kitkat with the ZenUI laid on top. It sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display. There is 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. It has an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP selfie camera on the front, and a 2,500mAh battery. The device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE along with other basic connectivity features.
Microsoft Lumia 650
The Windows 10 powered Lumia 650 is the latest smartphone fromMicrosoft that was launched this week in India. A couple of weeks back, the company also made the device available in China. The device is officially priced at Rs. 15,299 and comes only in dual SIM variant. It comes with a polycarbonate body like other Lumia devices but features an Aluminum frame around it. The device supports Microsoft’s AI Cortana but not the Continuum.
It sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) AMOLED display with a pixel density of 297ppi. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 212 quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. It has 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded upto 200GB via MicroSD card slot. In the camera department, it includes an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera. The device is backed by a 2,000mAh battery and measures just 6.9 mm thickness.
Vivo V3 & V3 Max
As we exclusively reported earlier, Vivo V3 and V3 Max are officially launched in the Indian market. Both the devices look almost similar and sports an all metal body. There is a fingerprint sensor placed on the rear of the devices. They run on Android 5.1 Lollipop with the customized FunTouch OS 2.5. The Vivo V3 comes with the 5-inch 720p display while the V3 Max features a much better 5.5-inch 1080p display. There is 32GB of internal storage that can be further expanded upto 128GB.
The Vivo V3 is powered by Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor along with 3GB of RAM. On the other hand, the V3 Max is backed by Snapdragon 652 SoC with 4GB of RAM. There is a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and LED flash, and an 8MP front facing camera. Both the V3 & V3 Max are backed by a 2,550mAh and 3,000mAh battery, but only the V3 Max supports dual chip fast charging. The V3 and V3 Max are priced at Rs. 17,980 and Rs. 23,980 respectively, and are currently available for pre-orders.
Oppo F1 Plus
As we said earlier, Oppo launched the Oppo R9 as Oppo F1 Plus here in India. The device is priced at Rs. 26,990 and sports all-metal unibody design. It features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display. The USP of the device is its 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture that can capture best selfies and can record videos in 4K resolution. The screen flash option works same as retina flash to capture selfies even in dark light conditions.
Under the hood, the F1 Plus is powered by the MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. It has a whooping 4GB of RAM and includes 64GB of internal storage. There is an expandable storage option upto 128GB via provided MicroSD card slot. It comes with a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and PDAF for fast focusing. The device is backed by a 2,850mAh battery and includes VOOC flash charging for faster charging speed.
Meizu MX5e
Just before launching the M3 Note, a new variant of last year’sMeizu MX 5 is listed on the company’s website. The device named as Meizu MX5e comes with cut-down specs and is priced at 1699 Yuan. It comes with a metal body featuring a physical home button that also includes a fingerprint sensor. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Flyme 5 OS overlaid. It comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top.
The device is powered by MediaTek MT6795 octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz. It has 3GB of RAM along with 16GB of built-in storage. While the MX came with a 20.7 rear camera, the MX5e comes with a 16MP sensor. On the front is the same 5MP sensor for selfies. The device is kept powered on by a 3,150mAh non-removable battery. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.
Meizu M3 Note
Meizu launched the new Meizu M3 Note smartphone in China this week. The device packs some good mid-range specifications and is priced at just 799 Yuan for 2GB RAM variant and 999 Yuan for 3GB RAM variant. It comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display (1920 x 1080 pixels) and is powered by an Helio P10 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. It comes with two variants with 2GB RAM + 16GB storage and 3GB + 32GB storage.
There is a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. It runs on Android 5.1 with the latest Flyme OS laid on top. In the camera front, there is a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and f/2.2 aperture, and a 5MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture on the front. The fingerprint embed into the physical home button can unlock in just 0.2 seconds. Like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and Redmi 3, Meizu M3 Note also comes with a massive 4,100mAh battery.
