Following up the Zmax from last year, which has been offered by T-Mobile, ZTE today unveiled the Zmax 2. This time around, though, the Chinese company’s carrier partner in the US will be AT&T.
The ZTE Zmax 2 is a mid-range phablet that will get a pretty decent price. You’ll be able to grab one from AT&T, online and in select stores, starting on September 25, which is this coming Friday. It will cost $149.99 sans contract.
For that amount of cash, you get a 5.5-inch 720p touchscreen, an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash, a 2 MP front-facing unit, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 4G LTE support, Dolby Digital Plus Audio, and a 3,000 mAh removable battery. The Zmax 2 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.
