The Samsung Galaxy J3 smartphone – which was spotted listed on GFXBench earlier last month – has passed the FCC hurdle, meaning it could be made official soon. The certification documents do not reveal much information except that the device, carrying a model number of SM-J3109, was tested for 3G, 2G, and LTE.
The GFXBench listing had revealed that the handset is powered by a Snapdragon 410 SoC with 64-bit Cortex-A53 CPU, and sports a 5-inch 720p display. It comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB expandable internal memory.
In terms of camera, the successor to the Galaxy J2 (which was launched in September this year) features an 8MP rear unit and a 5MP front shooter. The smartphone currently runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.
