Meizu has begun the rollout of the Flyme 5.0 update for the Meizu MX5 flagship. The new firmware won’t up your Android version, but will upgrade the Flyme launcher up to 5.0.
The firmware is available as an OTA download, but will require you about 940MB for download and even more for unpacking and installation. Currently the Meizu servers are overloaded and the download process is very slow. We suggest to wait a few hours or a day before hitting the update button.
The new Flyme 5.0 is coming out of the box with the recently announced Meizu Pro 5, but the MX5 is the first device to get it via an update. The 5.0 version brings flatter UI with refined icons and animations, better battery life and overall stability and performance improvements.
If you own a Meizu MX5 the update should become available to you soon, if not already. If you are interested in the complete change log, hit the Via link below.
