HTC Corp reported a record-low quarterly profit on Monday that missed analysts’ estimates after the delayed launch of its 2013 flagship smartphone model, the HTC One, further undermined sales amid tough competition from Samsung Electronics and Apple. The upcoming HTC 10 aka HTC One M10 could boast of featuring one of the  best cameras you have seen so far on a mobile phone — that’s what leaks have hinted at. Now, it has emerged that the the Taiwanese technology giant will introduce optical image stabilisation (OIS) feature on the selfie camera.

Photographer Kisha Bari posted a photo on Twitter with the caption: “My selfie using the world?s first OIS Selfie camera. Celebrating the new HTC10 with HTC. #powerof10” (sic), and it was shared on Reddit. The post has been removed from Twitter, but it is still found on Google Cache (via GSMArena).

The HTC 10 will be the first phone to have a selfie camera with OIS if latest talks turn true. The company was one of the first to introduce the feature to the rear camera through its HTC One. Bringing the feature to the front-snapper will be lauded, as many high-end devices from major smartphone manufacturers don’t have this technology in the main camera.

Interestingly, the company’s teaser has also hinted at “camera” as the USP of its upcoming HTC 10. LlabTooFeR has claimed in a tweet that the device will mount a Sony IMX377 12MP main camera and a 5MP UltraPixel front-snapper.
