HTC coming back to India today with HTC Desire 19+, Flipkart teaser reveals

HTC Desire 19 PlusHTC is making a come back in India. To recall, HTC stopped launching phones in the country since late last year. The last HTC phone the company brought to India was Desire 12. Now, the Taiwanese company is gearing up to launch a new smartphone in India today, reveals Flipkart teaser. Flipkart has created a dedicated page for the upcoming HTC phone and the same page reveals the launch date of the phone.

The Flipkart teaser reveals that the upcoming HTC smartphone is launching in India on August 14, i.e today. The Flipkart teaser was first discovered by Gadgets 360 website. The page doesn’t reveal the name of the upcoming HTC smartphone but the rumours suggest that it is the Desire 19+. To recall, the Desire 19+ is already launched in Taiwan and it is likely that the international model of the phone may head to India.

It is likely that the HTC Desire 19+ will pack the same specs as the global model. This means the HTC Desire 19+ may come with a teardrop notch. In terms of specs the smartphone sports a 6.2-inch HD+ display and is powered by a Helio P35 chipset. Globally the HTC smartphone comes with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. In Taiwan the HTC Desire 19+ comes in two variants — 4GB RAM + 64GB of internal storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage.

On the camera front, the Desire 19+ comes packed with a triple camera setup on the back panel that includes a 13MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, the smartphone gets a 16MP selfie camera. The smartphone packs a 3,850mAh battery.

In Taiwan, the Desire 19+ sells for a price starting TWD 9,900 (approx Rs 22,400) for the base model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The 6GB + 128GB variant of the HTC Desire 19+ costs TWD 10,990 (approx Rs 24,900). The India price of the smartphone is yet to be revealed but we believe there won’t be a lot of difference between international and Indian variant of the phone in terms of price.
