The LG V30, which was launched earlier this year at IFA 2017, is set to enter the Indian market. If the latest information is to be believed, the premium smartphone could be launched as early as next month.
Until now, the V30 had been available only in select markets. According to an exclusive report by PhoneRadar, the LG V30 will be launched in India at a price of Rs 47,990. It is expected that LG will provide the B&O Play headset with the package in India. With the supposed launch in December, the flagship smartphone will seek to fight for a favorable spot against the OnePlus 5T, the Samsung Galaxy S8 duo, the Google Pixel 2 duo, and the Apple iPhone 8lineup in the premium category.
LG V30 specifications and features
As the smartphone is already available in some major markets, the specifications are already known. The LG V30 is equipped with a 6-inch quad HD+ (2880 x 1440 pixels) FullVision OLED display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, and support for Dolby Vision and HDR10 for an even enhanced viewing experience.
Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, which is clocked at 2.35GHz and paired with 4GB of RAM. It is available in two storage options of 64GB and 128GB, further expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. A variant called LG V30+, which boasts identical features as the V30, packs 128GB as default storage.
For optics, the LG V30 hops on to the industry trend of dual-camera setups with a combination of a 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.6 aperture and a 13-megapixel sensor with f/1.9 aperture and 120-degree wide-angle lens at the back. The camera is capable of offering Hybrid Auto Focus, OIS and EIS. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel camera with 90-degree angle of view.
It is fueled by a 3,300mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support. It runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat out-of-the-box. However, it is expected to come with the newer Android Oreo running out-of-the-box when it launches in India. Other features include 32-bit advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC, IP68 certified dust and water-resistance, and a fingerprint sensor at the rear.
